Composer Jeffrey Mumford will talk about his Sphinx Commission, to be performed, along with Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and Sibelius’ Symphony No. 5 in E-flat major, Op. 82, at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 18, and Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
